On January 1, 2005, the Sons of Ireland organized a Polar Bear Plunge to benefit two Monmouth County charities - Teddy's
Fund and Clean Ocean Action. Over 150 people plunged in the chilly waters of the Atlantic Ocean to raise money for these two
worthy causes. Total funds raised to date from the "plunge" exceed $70,000.
